Original Late 1940s dress
Another recent addition to the catalogue is this beautiful late 1940s dress we just got in. Made from a beautiful blue cotton, with white lace cuffs and collar, this piece is the perfect addition to any vintage wardrobe. Perfect for entertaining on a Saturday evening, or hitting up the local supper club for drinks and live music, you will not be disappointed with this one.
A few notes on this: Its sized for an hour glass body type. It is sized as:
Bust 34 inches
Waist 28 inches
Hips 38 inches
It still retains the original nylon internal skirt which has a few nips and wear around the hem line. The lacing on one sleeve is a bit tarnished, and there’s some minor fading on the bodice. It is still an excellent piece.
Important note: When we gave it a gentle wash with Restore, the fabric did bleed, so I would not advise washing this with any other garments.
